Guylain lives in his old Winnebago, parking wherever he can until the police force him to move from one neighborhood to another. A nomad himself, he founded “Dehors Novembre”, an organization dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness. It is not uncommon to see him offering temporary shelter, a meal, or a warm drink to those in need.
Guylain’s testimony, accompanied by his pitbull Misha, is now part of the permanent exhibition at the Centre des mémoires montréalaises (MEM), a museum and civic space located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles in Montreal. This center celebrates Montrealers past and present by telling the city’s history through the stories of its residents, offering visitors an intimate and multifaceted perspective on Montreal.
